The Plan
As mentioned earlier, there are eight technological or instructional strategies that I want to become familiar with in a 12 month period. The plan will incorporate book learning, computer classes, and CD tutorials. Below is a table that lists the time frame and materials and costs for each area.

The networking class is an ideal way to kill many birds with one stone. Albeit, the expense is rather steep but considering the extensive subject matter that are covered in such a short period of time, it seems worthwhile. According to the Telecom website, their objective of the course is to fill the gaps in one's knowledge, to establish fundamentals of networking, understand mainstream technologies, practices, and solutions, and understand how it all fits together (Telecom 2004). In my opinion, this class will be the key to enhancing my proficiency level because it covers most of the technologies that I am deficient in. Unfortunately, the class does not cover the CAI instructional strategy and therefore, I have to take another avenue to train myself.
